SCHEDULE 12 E+W CONVERSION OF TENANCIES AND LICENCES EXISTING BEFORE COMMENCEMENT OF CHAPTER 3 OF PART 10

Implied tenancies and licences E+W

30 (1) This paragraph applies if, immediately before the appointed day, a dwelling is occupied as a home by a person who is a trespasser in relation to that dwelling. E+W

(2) Section 238 (implied tenancies and licences)—

(a) applies to payments made by the person before the appointed day as to payments made by him or her after the appointed day, and

(b) applies as if the end of the relevant period were the end of the period mentioned in section 238(3) or, if later, the appointed day.
