(1)[F1Criminal Procedure Rules] may make such provision as appears to the authority making them to be necessary or expedient for the purposes of this Act (and nothing in this Act shall be taken to affect the generality of any enactment conferring power to make such rules).

(3)For the purposes of this Act the age of a person shall be taken to be that which it appears to the court to be after considering any available evidence.
