Appointed days

2.—(1) The day appointed for the coming into operation of—

(a)in Part 2 of Schedule 4 to the Act (abolition of contracting-out for defined contribution pension schemes: further amendments)—

(i)paragraph 45 in so far as it relates to paragraph 59, and

(ii)paragraph 59(1) in so far as it is not already in operation, and

(b)Part 7 of Schedule 6 to the Act (abolition of contracting-out for defined contribution pension schemes: further repeals) in so far as it relates to the repeal of the following provisions—

(i)in paragraph 2 of Schedule 3 to the Pension Schemes (Northern Ireland) Act 1993(2) in sub-paragraph (5) the definition of “appropriate flat-rate percentage”, and

(ii)Article 134(6)(a) of the Pensions (Northern Ireland) Order 1995(3),

is 7th June 2012.

(2) The day appointed for the coming into operation of Part 7 of Schedule 6 to the Act in so far as it relates to the repeal of Article 136 of the Pensions (Northern Ireland) Order 1995 is 6th April 2015.
