There are currently no known outstanding effects for the Government Trading Act 1990, Section 5.
(1)This Act may be cited as the Government Trading Act 1990.
(2)Subject to subsection (3) below, any order under the M1Government Trading Funds Act 1973 in force on the day before this Act is passed shall continue to have effect with the necessary modifications as if made under section 1 of that Act as substituted by this Act, but as if—
(a)the authorised lender were the National Loans Fund, and
(b)in the case of the M2 HMSO Trading Fund Order 1980 the words in the Schedule after paragraph (c) were omitted.
(3)Nothing in this Act affects the operation of that Act in relation to the Crown Suppliers.
(4)The enactments mentioned in Part II of Schedule 2 to this Act are repealed to the extent specified in the third column.
(5)This Act, except section 4, extends to Northern Ireland.
