1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Foundation Subject (Amendment) (England) Order 2000 and shall come into force on the fourteenth day after the day on which it is made save that the amendment made by article 2 providing for–
(a)the power in relation to schools in England to specify a modern foreign language as meaning any modern foreign language and the change from the foundation subject of art to one of art and design shall have effect only in relation to school years beginning on or after 2000; and
(b)citizenship to be a National Curriculum foundation subject shall have effect only in relation to school years beginning on or after 2002.
(2) In this Order, “the Act” means the Education Act 1996.
(3) This order extends to England only.
