2.  The following provisions of the Serious Crime Act 2007 shall come into force on 1st October 2008—

(a)Part 2 (encouraging and assisting crime) together with Schedules 3 (listed offences), 4 (extra-territoriality), 5 (amendments relating to service law) and 6 (minor and consequential amendments);

(b)section 68(1) to (7) (disclosure of information to prevent fraud);

(c)sections 69 and 70 (offence for certain further disclosures of information and penalty for that offence);

(d)section 71(3) and (6) (code of practice for disclosure of information to prevent fraud);

(e)section 72 (data protection rules);

(f)section 91(1) (transitional and transitory provisions and savings) in so far as it relates to the provisions in sub-paragraph (g);

(g)paragraphs 5, 6 and 8 of Schedule 13 (transitional and transitory provisions and savings);

(h)section 92 (repeals and revocation) in so far as it relates to the entries in Schedule 14 in sub-paragraph (i); and

(i)in Schedule 14 (repeals and revocation) the entries relating to—

(i)the Criminal Law Act 1977(1);

(ii)the Magistrates’ Courts Act 1980(2);

(iii)the Magistrates’ Courts (Northern Ireland) Order 1981(3);

(iv)the Criminal Attempts and Conspiracy (Northern Ireland) Order 1983(4);

(v)the Public Order Act 1986(5);

(vi)the Computer Misuse Act 1990(6);

(vii)the International Criminal Court Act 2001(7); and

(viii)the Police and Justice Act 2006(8).
