Amendment of the National Health Service Act 2006E+W+S

13.—(1) The National Health Service Act 2006(1) is amended as follows.

(2) In section 129(2) (regulations as to pharmaceutical services) in subsection (6)(c), for “in the Register” to “Switzerland” substitute “as a pharmacist in the Register maintained under article 19 of the Pharmacy Order 2010 by virtue of a qualification in pharmacy awarded in an EEA State other than the United Kingdom, or in Switzerland”.

(3) In section 132(3) (persons authorised to provide pharmaceutical services), for paragraph (b) of subsection (8) substitute—

(b)his registration is suspended by virtue of any direction or order under the Pharmacy Order 2010,.

(4) In section 275(4) (interpretation), in subsection (1), for the definition of “registered pharmacist” substitute—

“registered pharmacist” means a person registered as a pharmacist in Part 1 or 4 of the register maintained under article 19 of the Pharmacy Order 2010,.
