Provisions coming into force on 5th September 2016

3.  The following provisions of Part 3 of the Scotland Act 2016 (welfare benefits and employment support) come into force on 5th September 2016—

(a)in section 22 (disability, industrial injuries and carer’s benefits)—

(i)subsection (1) in so far as it relates to subsection (3);

(ii)subsection (3);

(b)in section 23 (benefits for maternity, funeral and heating expenses)—

(i)subsection (1) in so far as it relates to subsection (3);

(ii)subsection (3);

(c)section 24 (discretionary payments: top-up of reserved benefits);

(d)section 26 (discretionary payments and assistance);

(e)section 28 (power to create other new benefits);

(f)section 29 (universal credit: costs of claimants who rent accommodation);

(g)section 30 (universal credit: persons to whom, and time when, paid);

(h)section 31 (employment support);

(i)section 32 (functions exercisable within devolved competence);

(j)section 33 (Social Security Advisory Committee and Industrial Injuries Advisory Council);

(k)section 34 (information-sharing);

(l)section 35 (extension of unauthorised disclosure offence).
