Amendment of the Official Feed and Food Controls (England) Regulations 2009

2.—(1) The Official Feed and Food Controls (England) Regulations 2009(1) are amended as follows.

(2) In regulation 2 (interpretation), in the definition that begins “Decision 2007/275” after “Regulation 2019/1666” insert “have the meanings respectively given to them in Schedule 1;”.

(3) In regulation 22 (interpretation of this Part of these Regulations), for the definition of “product” substitute—

“product” means feed and food of non-animal origin whose import is regulated by Article 44 or Article 47(1)(d), (e) or (f) of Regulation 2017/625 and includes composite products and foodstuffs which are not required to be subject to veterinary checks as provided in Commission Decision 2007/275/EC concerning lists of composite products to be subject to controls at border control posts;.

(4) In regulation 29 (checks on products), in each place it occurs, for “and Article 45(1), (2) and (4)” substitute “, Article 45(1), (2) and (4) and regulation 49(1)”.

(5) In regulation 36(2) (costs and fees) after “as referred to in”, insert “Article 79(2)(a) and (c) and”.
