(1)Mae is-adran (2) yn gymwys i gynnig gan awdurdod lleol neu gorff llywodraethu ysgol a gynhelir i newid categori ysgol a gynhelir i ysgol sefydledig pan fo'r cynnig—
(a)wedi ei gyhoeddi o dan baragraff 2 o Atodlen 8 i Ddeddf Safonau a Fframwaith Ysgolion 1998 cyn bod adran 27 wedi dod i rym, a
(b)heb gael ei weithredu yn unol â rheoliadau a wnaed o dan baragraff 5 o Atodlen 8 i'r Ddeddf honno cyn bod adran 27 wedi dod i rym.
(2)Mae Atodlen 8 i Ddeddf Safonau a Fframwaith Ysgolion 1998 yn cael effaith fel pe na bai'r diwygiadau yn adran 27 wedi eu deddfu.
(3)Yn yr adran hon, ystyr “ysgol a gynhelir” yw—
(a)ysgol gymunedol,
(b)ysgol wirfoddol a gynorthwyir, neu
(c)ysgol wirfoddol a reolir.
