Saving and transitional provisionsN.I.

81.—(1) Nothing in this Order shall apply to an antique firearm which is sold, purchased, acquired or possessed as a curiosity or ornament.

(2) The provisions of this Order shall be in addition to and not in derogation of any statutory provision relating to the keeping and sale of explosives.

[F1(2A) The Department of Justice may by order under Article 8(3) or paragraph 2(6) of Schedule 2 make such saving and transitional provisions as appear to the Department of Justice to be necessary or expedient.]

(3) The Secretary of State may by order under Article 1[F2F3. . . or 45(10)] or paragraph 2(6) of Schedule 2 [F4(as applied by paragraph 3A(4) of that Schedule)] make such saving and transitional provisions as appear to him to be necessary or expedient.

(4) Nothing in any provision of this Order shall affect the punishment for an offence committed before the commencement of that provision.
