Coming into force

The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 3, 5, 6, 8 and 18(1) of the Whaling Industry (Regulation) Act 19341 and section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 19722 and all other powers enabling them to do so.

Citation, commencement and extent1

These Regulations may be cited as the Sea Fishing (Miscellaneous Revocations) (Scotland) Regulations 2017 and come into force on 1st December 2017.

These Regulations extend to Scotland only.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations revoke 10 sets of Regulations. The Regulations relate to: ships in the whaling industry; improvement grants for agricultural, fishery and aquaculture products; requirements on fishing vessels to remain in port during particular periods; and payment of fisheries and aquaculture structures grants. All of the listed Regulations are now spent.

No Business and Regulatory Impact Assessment has been prepared in relation to these Regulations, as no impact upon business, charities or the voluntary bodies is foreseen.
