Coming into force in accordance with article 1
The Lord Chancellor makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 17 of Schedule 4 to the Legal Services Act 20071.
The Legal Services Board has made a recommendation to the Lord Chancellor under paragraph 16 of Schedule 4 to the Legal Services Act 2007 having complied with the requirements of Part 2 of that Schedule.
A draft of this Order has been approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament pursuant to section 206(4) and (5) of the Legal Services Act 2007.
Citation and commencement1
This Order may be cited as the Legal Services Act 2007 (Approved Regulators) Order 2011 and comes into force on the 1st May 2011, or, if later, the day after the day on which it is made.
Amendment to the Legal Services Act 20072
In the Table in paragraph 1 of Schedule 4 to the Legal Services Act 20072, in the entry relating to “The Institute of Legal Executives”, in the second column after “The administration of oaths.” insert “The conduct of litigation.”.
