Coming into force
The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 8(1) of, and paragraph 21 of Schedule 7 to, the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 20181.
Under paragraph 1(3) of Schedule 7 to that Act, a draft of these Regulations was laid before, and approved by a resolution of, each House of Parliament.

Citation and commencement1
These Regulations may be cited as the Animal Welfare (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2022 and come into force on the day after the day on which they are made.
Extent and application2
These Regulations—

Amendment of Regulation (EU) 2017/6253
In Article 154 of Regulation (EU) 2017/625 of the European Parliament and of the Council on official controls and other official activities performed to ensure the application of food and feed law, rules on animal health and welfare, plant health and plant protection products2, in paragraph 2—
