[F229A.Meaning of “leviable bet”E+W+S

(1)In this Part “leviable bet” means a bet that—

(a)relates to horse racing in Great Britain, and

(b)is made (whether in person or remotely) by a person who is in Great Britain when the bet is made.

(2)The following are not “horse racing” for the purposes of subsection (1)(a)—

(a)point to point racing;

(b)harness racing;

(c)trotting events.]
