This is the original version (as it was originally enacted).
In relation to clerks and apprentices to persons who are members of the Incorporated Company of Scriveners and have been admitted to practise as public notaries within the jurisdiction of that Company, section 3 of the [1843 c. 90.] Public Notaries Act 1843 (which provides for admission as a public notary after five years' service as clerk or apprentice to a notary, instead of seven years' service as previously provided) shall, notwithstanding anything in section 6 of that Act (which limits the operation of that Act in relation to practice within the jurisdiction of the Company), have effect in respect of admission to practise as a public notary within the jurisdiction of that Company as it has effect in respect of admission to practise elsewhere.
