Poinding
17 Restrictions on times when poinding may be executed.

No poinding shall be executed on Sunday, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Good Friday or such other day as may be prescribed by Act of Sederunt.

The execution of a poinding shall not—
a
be commenced before 8 a.m. or after 8 p.m.; or
b
be continued after 8 p.m.,
unless the officer of court has obtained prior authority from the sheriff for such commencement or continuation; and any rule of law which prohibits poindings outwith the hours of daylight shall cease to have effect.
