In section 6(1)(a) of the Public Passenger Vehicles Act 1981 (certificates of fitness etc), for the words “a certifying officer” there shall be substituted the words “
an examiner appointed under section 66A of the Road Traffic Act 1988
”

In section 10(2) of that Act (approval of type vehicle), for the words “the certifying officer” there shall be substituted the words “
