8(1)As soon as possible after the end of each financial year of the Commission, the Commission shall send to the Secretary of State [and the Department of Justice in Northern Ireland] a report on the discharge of their functions during that year.E+W+N.I.
(2)Such a report may include an account of the working of the provisions of sections 9 to 25 and recommendations relating to any of those provisions.
(3)The Secretary of State shall lay before each House of Parliament, and cause to be published, a copy of every report sent to him under sub-paragraph (1).
[(4)The Department of Justice shall lay before the Northern Ireland Assembly a copy of every report sent to the Department of Justice under sub-paragraph (1).
(5)Section 41(3) of the Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954 applies for the purposes of sub-paragraph (4) in relation to the laying of a copy of a report as it applies in relation to the laying of a statutory document under an enactment.]
