Section 27 (financial provision orders etc.
in case of failure to provide proper maintenance) is amended as follows.

In subsection (5)—

after “an order requiring the respondent” insert

For subsection (6) substitute—

Subject to the restrictions imposed by the following provisions of this Act, if on an application under this section the applicant satisfies the court of any ground mentioned in subsection (1) above, the court may make one or more financial provision orders against the respondent in favour of the applicant or a child of the family.

In subsection (7), for “(6)(c) or (f)” substitute “(6)”.
