Section 5(1) to (4) and (11) and this section shall come into force on the passing of this Act.

The provisions mentioned in subsection (3) shall come into force on such day as the Secretary of State may by order appoint, and different days may be appointed for different provisions or different purposes.

The provisions referred to in subsection (2) are—

• in Schedule 4, paragraphs 8, 10, 11, 13, 34 and 40; and

• in Schedule 5, the repeals of—

• the M1Employment (Continental Shelf) Act 1978;

• section 287(5) of the M2Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992; and

• section 201(5) of the M3Employment Rights Act 1996.

Subject to subsections (1) and (2), this Act shall come into force on such day as the Secretary of State may by order appoint.

Orders under this section shall be made by statutory instrument.
