Each maintained school shall have a governing body, which shall be a body corporate constituted in accordance with Schedule 9.

Schedule 10 has effect in relation to the general powers of the governing body and other matters relating to it as a body corporate.

Schedule 11 has effect in relation to the membership and proceedings of the governing body and other matters including the appointment of a clerk to, or to any committee of, the governing body.
