Funding of school inspections and forestry in Wales

I1104F1Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Education and Training in Wales or Prif Arolygydd Ei Mawrhydi dros Addysg a Hyfforddiant yng Nghymru.

The provision of funding for F1Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Education and Training in Wales or Prif Arolygydd Ei Mawrhydi dros Addysg a Hyfforddiant yng Nghymru (“the Chief Inspector”) shall be the responsibility of the F2Welsh Ministers .

What subsection (1) requires of the F2Welsh Ministers is that F3they shall provide such funding for the Chief Inspector as F4they consider appropriate.

In deciding what funding F5they consider appropriate to provide for the Chief Inspector, the F2Welsh Ministers shall have regard in particular to what F5they consider the Chief Inspector needs to spend in order to discharge his functions effectively.

The F2Welsh Ministers shall before the beginning of each financial year consult the Chief Inspector about the funding F6they are to provide for him in that financial year F7. . .

The F2Welsh Ministers shall—

a

approve the plan submitted to F9them under section 87 of the Learning and Skills Act 2000; and

b

determine the amount of the funding F10they are to provide under this section in accordance with the plan as approved by F11them .

But before F12they give their approval under subsection (4A)(a), the F2Welsh Ministers may require the Chief Inspector to modify the plan.
