Section 15 of the City of London (Courts) Act 1964 (oaths) is amended as follows.

That section becomes subsection (1) of section 15.

In that subsection for “Lord Chancellor” substitute “ Lord Chief Justice ”.

After that subsection insert—

The Lord Chief Justice may nominate a judicial office holder (as defined in section 109(4) of the Constitutional Reform Act 2005) to exercise his functions under subsection (1).
