[9 Interpretation of “bank”, “banker”, and “bankers’ books”. U.K.
(1)In this Act the expressions “bank”and “banker”mean—
[(a)an institution authorised under the Banking Act 1987 or a municipal bank within the meaning of that Act;]
[(aa)a building society (within the meaning of the Building Societies Act 1986);][and]
