The Nature Conservancy Council (Transfer of Property) Order 1974

Coming into Operation

31st August 1974

The Secretary of State for the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by paragraph 21 of Schedule 3 to the Nature Conservancy Council Act 1973, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby orders as follows:—

1.  This order may be cited as the Nature Conservancy Council (Transfer of Property) Order 1974 and shall come into operation on 31st August 1974.

2.  The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply for the interpretation of this order as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

3.  There is hereby transferred to the Nature Conservancy Council—

(1) all the estate and interest of the Natural Environment Research Council in the properties whose location is shown in column 1 of the Schedule to this order, whose approximate area is shown in column 2 of the said Schedule and which are fully described in the deeds and documents mentioned in column 3 of the said Schedule; and

(2) all the rights, liabilities and obligations of the Natural Environment Research Council attaching to such properties or contained, mentioned or referred to in such deeds and documents.
