The London-Portsmouth Trunk Road A3 (Ham Barn-Petersfield Section Slip Roads) (No. 2) Order 1988

The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by section 10 of the Highways Act 19801, and now vested in him2,: and of all other enabling powers:

The new highways which the Secretary of State proposes to construct along the routes described in the Schedule to this Order which connect the main new trunk road with other highways at Weston in the County of Hampshire (the highways along these routes being in this order referred to as“the slip roads”), shall become trunk roads as from the date when this Order comes into force.

The centre line of each of the slip roads is indicated by a heavy black line on the deposited plan.

In this Order:—

“the deposited plan”means the plan numbered RSE A3/6B/65/2/16, marked“The London-Portsmouth Trunk Road A3 (Ham Barn-Petersfield Section Slip Roads) (No. 2) Order 1988”, signed by authority of the Secretary of State and deposited at the Department of Transport, Romney House, 43 Marsham Street, London SW1P 3PY;

“the main new trunk road”means the highway to be provided by the Secretary of State in pursuance of the London-Portsmouth Trunk Road A3 (Ham Barn-Petersfield Section) Order 19873.

This Order shall come into force on 30th June 1988 and may be cited as the London-Portsmouth Trunk Road A3 (Ham Barn-Petersfield Section Slip Roads) (No. 2) Order 1988.

THE SCHEDULE

The routes of the slip roads, which are situated in the District of East Hampshire in the County of Hampshire, are the following:—

Junction with Ramsden Lane at Weston

Three routes to connect the northbound carriageway of the main new trunk road with Ramsden Lane (as proposed to be diverted) at Weston (the slip roads along these routes being respectively given the reference numbers 1, 2 and 3 on the deposited plan).
