The Criminal Justice (Scotland) Act 1987 (Commencement No. 4) Order 1988

In exercise of the power conferred upon me by section 72(2) of the Criminal Justice Scotland Act 1987((1)), I hereby make the following Order:

1.  This Order may be cited as the Criminal Justice (Scotland) Act 1987 (Commencement No. 4) Order 1988.

2.  The provisions of the Criminal Justice (Scotland) Act 1987 referred to in column 1 of the Schedule to this Order (which relate to the matters described in column 2 of that Schedule) shall come into force on 1st April 1988.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order brings into force on 1st April 1988 the provisions of the Criminal Justice (Scotland) Act 1987 which are referred to in column 1 of the Schedule to this Order. The Order does not affect Scotland. The other provisions of Part I of the 1987 Act come into force in Scotland on the same date by virtue of the Criminal Justice (Scotland) Act 1987 (Commencement No. 5) Order 1988 (S.I. 1988/482).
