1. The Table of fees set out in Part II of Schedule B to the Judicial Committee (General Appellate Jurisdiction) Rules Order 1982(3) is hereby revoked and the Table set out in the Schedule to this Order substituted therefor.
2. This Order may be cited as the Judicial Committee (Fees) Order 1989 and shall come into force on 1st January 1990.

This Order introduces a revised scale of fees in respect of Appeals and other proceedings before the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council. In general, the fees, which were last fixed in 1981, are being increased by 50%, although more substantial increases are made to the fees for lodging a case or a petition for special leave to appeal. The range of fees has been rationalised, reducing the table from 24 to 18 items.
