In exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 79, 81 and 232(5) of the Education Reform Act 1988(1) the Secretary of State for Wales hereby makes the following Regulations:

1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Grant-maintained Schools) (Finance) (Amendment) Regulations 1990 and shall come into force on 13th December 1990.

2.  Regulation 1(2) of the Education (Grant-maintained Schools) (Finance) Regulations 1990(2) is hereby revoked and accordingly, with effect from the coming into force of these Regulations, the first-mentioned Regulations shall extend to both England and Wales.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations revoke regulation 1 of the Education (Grant-maintained Schools) (Finance) Regulations 1990 by virtue of which those Regulations apply only to England. Thus, with effect from the coming into force of these Regulations, the earlier Regulations will extend to both England and Wales.
