The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraphs 1(1) and 8 of Part I of Schedule 1 to the Road Traffic (Driver Licensing and Information Systems) Act 1989(2), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with representative organisations in accordance with paragraph 8(4) of that Part of that Schedule, hereby makes the following Regulations:

1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Heavy Goods and Public Service Vehicles) (Amendment) Regulations 1991 and shall come into force on 1st February 1992.

2.  –

(1) The Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Heavy Goods and Public Service Vehicles) Regulations 1990(3) shall be amended in accordance with the following provision of this regulation.

(2) In paragraph (5) of regulation 5 (Duplicate licences) for “£5” there shall be substituted “£6”.

Explanatory Note

These Regulations amend regulation 5 of the Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Heavy Goods and Public Service Vehicles) Regulations 1990 by increasing the fee for a duplicate of a heavy goods vehicle or public service vehicle driver’s licence continued in force by section 1(2) of the Road Traffic (Driver Licensing and Information Systems) Act 1989 from £5 to £6.
