SCHEDULE 2ROUTES OF THE CONNECTING ROADS

JUNCTION WITH THE M6, BIRMINGHAM-PRESTON MOTORWAY AT CUERDEN VALLEY PARK

1.—(a) Two routes (comprising slip roads) to connect new highways intended to be constructed linking Lostock Lane (A582), as proposed to be improved with the western end of the motorway and with the western side of the roundabout described at paragraph (b) of this schedule. The special roads along these routes are respectively given the reference numbers 1 and 2 on Scheme Plan No. 1 in the deposited plan.

  • Two routes (comprising slip roads) to connect the eastern side of the said roundabout described at paragraph (b) of this schedule with the motorway. The special roads along these routes are respectively given the reference numbers 3 and 4 on Scheme Plan No. 1 in the deposited plan.

(b)One route (in the form of a roundabout) to link the Motorway and the M6, Birmingham - Preston Motorway via routes 1, 2, 3 and 4. (The special road along this route being given the reference number 5 on the Scheme Plan No. 1 in the deposited plan.)

(c)Two routes (comprising slip roads) to connect the northbound and southbound carriageway of the M6, Birmingham - Preston Motorway with the new roundabout route 5. (The special roads along these routes being respectively given the reference numbers 6 and 7 on Scheme Plan No. 1 in the deposited plan.)

(d)Two routes (comprising slip roads) to connect the new roundabout, route 5 with the roundabout which carried the Manchester - Preston Principal Road (A6, Church Road) over the M6, Birmingham - Preston Motorway at Junction 29. (The special roads along these routes being respectively given the reference numbers 8 and 9 on Scheme Plan No. 1 in the deposited plan.)

JUNCTION WITH THE M61, MANCHESTER-PRESTON MOTORWAY AT CLAYTON BROOK

2.—(a) Four routes (comprising slip roads) to connect the westbound and eastbound carriageways of the Motorway with a roundabout to be constructed over the M61 Manchester - Preston Motorway at Clayton Brook. (The special roads along these routes being respectively given the reference numbers 10, 11, 12 and 13 on Scheme Plan No. 1 in the deposited plan.)

(b)One route (in the form of a roundabout) to link the Motorway and the M61 Manchester - Preston Motorway via routes 10, 11, 12 and 13. (The special road along this route being given the reference number 14 on Scheme Plan No. 1 in the deposited plan.)

(c)Four routes (comprising slip roads) to connect the northbound and southbound carriageway of the M61 Manchester - Preston Motorway with the new roundabout, route 14. (The special roads along these routes being respectively given the reference numbers 15, 16, 17 and 18 on Scheme Plan No. I in the deposited plan.)

(d)One route (comprising a special link road to connect the new roundabout, route 14 with the all-purpose road known as Tramway Lane). (The special road along this route being given the reference number 19 on Scheme Plan No. 1 in the deposited plan.)

JUNCTION WITH CHORLEY ROAD (A674), FINNINGTON LANE (A674) AND BOLTON ROAD (A675) TO THE SOUTH OF RILEY GREEN

3.  Four routes to connect the eastbound and westbound carriageways of the Motorway with a roundabout to be constructed on Bolton Road (A675), immediately north of the existing A674/A675 roundabout junction, and giving access to Chorley Road (A674), Finnington Lane (A674) and Bolton Road (A675), as proposed to be realigned. (The special roads along these routes being respectively given the reference numbers 20, 21, 22 and 23 on Scheme Plan No. 2 in the deposited plan.)

JUNCTION WITH A PROPOSED ALL-PURPOSE ROUNDABOUT AND LINK ROAD TO CONNECT WITH BOLTON ROAD (A666) AT EARCROFT

4.  Four routes to connect the eastbound and westbound carriageways of the Motorway with a proposed all-purpose roundabout to be constructed under the Motorway, giving access to a proposed all-purpose link road connecting the roundabout with Blackburn Road (A666) at Earcroft. (The special roads along these routes being respectively given the reference numbers 24, 25, 26 and 27 on Scheme Plan No. 3 in the deposited plan.)

JUNCTION WITH APROPOSED ALL-PURPOSE ROUNDABOUT AND LINK ROAD TO CONNECT WITH HASLINGDEN ROAD (B6232) AND BLACKAMOOR ROAD (B6231) AT GUIDE

5.  Four routes to connect the north eastbound and south westbound carriageways of the Motorway with a proposed all-purpose roundabout to be constructed over the Motorway at Guide, giving access to a proposed all-purpose link road connecting the roundabout with Haslingden Road (B6232) to the south cast of the Motorway, a roundaboutjunction with Blackamoor Road (B6231) to the north west of the Motorway; and Haslingden Road (B6232) to the north west of the Motorway. (The special roads along these routes being respectively given the reference numbers 28, 29, 30 and 31 on Scheme Plan No. 3 in the deposited plan.)

JUNCTION WITH BLACKBURN ROAD (A678) AND WHITEBIRK DRIVE (A6]19) AT WHITEBIRK

6.  Two routes to connect the northbound and southbound carriageways of the Motorway with the Whitebirk Roundabout (Junction 6 on the M65); giving access to Blackburn Road (A678) and Whitebirk Drive (A6119). (The special roads along these routes being respectively given the reference numbers 32 and 33 on Scheme Plan No. 3 in the deposited plan.)

JUNCTION WITH BLACKBURN ROAD (A678) AND WHITEBIRK DRIVE (A6]19) AT WHITEBIRK

7.  Two routes to connect the eastbound and westbound carriageways of the M65 Motorway (Calder Valley Route, Whitebirk to Hyndburn Section) with the Whitebirk Roundabout (Junction 6 on the M65); giving access to Blackburn Road (A678) and Whitebirk Drive (A6119). (The special roads along these routes being respectively given the reference numbers 34 and 35 on Scheme Plan No. 3 in the deposited plan.)
