The Sheep Scab (Revocation) Order 1992

Coming into force

The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, the Secretary of State for Scotland and the Secretary of State for Wales, acting jointly, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 1, 7(1), 8(1), 10, 14(1), 15(4), 17(1), 23, 25, 28, 37, 72 and 83(2) of the Animal Health Act 19811 and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, make the following Order:—

Title and commencement1

This Order may be cited as the Sheep Scab (Revocation) Order 1992 and shall come into force on 1st July 1992.

Revocation and amendment2

The Sheep Scab (National Dip) Order 19902, the Sheep Scab (National Dip) (Amendment) Order 19913 and the Sheep Scab Order 19924 are hereby revoked.

In the Transit of Animals Order 19275 in article 1 in the definition of “Disease” the reference to sheep scab shall be deleted.

In the Animals (Miscellaneous Provisions) Order 19276 in article 4(3) in the definition of “Disease” the reference to sheep scab shall be deleted.

In Schedule 2 to the Importation of Animals Order 19777 the reference to the Sheep Scab Order of 1938 as amended shall be deleted.

This Order revokes the Sheep Scab (National Dip) Order 1990 as amended and the Sheep Scab Order 1992. It makes consequential amendments to the Transit of Animals Order 1927, the Animals (Miscellaneous Provisions) Order 1927 and the Importation of Animals Order 1977.
