Regulation E12 of the principal Regulations is amended by inserting after paragraph (4) the following:

No election under paragraph (1)(b) or (2)(b) may be made on or after 28th February 1992.

Where a woman gives notice under regulation E6(7) that she wishes to reckon the whole of her reckonable service before 6th April 1988 for the purposes of calculating a widower’s long-term pension, any previous election made by her under paragraph (1)(b) or (2)(b) shall cease to have effect.
