1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Salmon (Definition of Methods of Net Fishing and Construction of Nets) (Scotland) Regulations 1992 and shall come into force on 1st January 1993.
(2) These Regulations other than regulations 1, 2, 3 and 10 shall not apply in relation to the River Tweed.
(3) In these Regulations “River Tweed” means the river as defined by the Tweed Fisheries Amendment Act 1859(1), as amended by the byelaw made under section 4 of the Salmon Fisheries (Scotland) Act 1863(2).
1863 c. 50; the byelaw made under section 4 of the 1863 Act continues to have effect by virtue of the Salmon Act 1986, section 41(4) notwithstanding the repeal of the 1863 Act by the 1986 Act, Schedule 5.
