Coming into force
The Secretary of State, in exercise of his powers under sections 51(2), 69 and 266 of the Local Government Act 19721 and of all other powers enabling him on that behalf, having complied with the procedures laid down in sections 69(2) and (3) of that Act, hereby makes the following Order, which varies supplementary provisions contained in The Durham and Tyne and Wear (County and District Boundaries) Order 19922, an Order made by him pursuant to his powers under sections 51(2) and 67(4) of the Act on 1st December 1992:
Citation and commencement1
This Order may be cited as the Durham and Tyne and Wear (County and District Boundaries) (Variation) Order 1993, and shall come into force on 1st April 1994.
Variations in respect of metropolitan borough wards2

The Durham and Tyne and Wear (County and District Boundaries) Order 1992 shall be varied as provided in paragraphs (2) and (3).

For the Table in article 5(1), there shall be substituted the following

For map 2 of the maps marked “Maps of the Durham and Tyne and Wear (County and District Boundaries) Order 1992”, there shall be substituted the map prepared by the Department of the Environment marked “Map of the Durham and Tyne and Wear (County and District Boundaries) (Variation) Order 1993” and deposited in accordance with regulation 5 of the Local Government Area Changes Regulations 19763.
