The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 70(1), 105(7) and 108(1) of, and paragraph 2A of Schedule 11 to, the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 19781 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation, commencement and interpretation1

These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (Optical Charges and Payments) (Scotland) Amendment (No.3) Regulations 1996 and shall come into force on 1st November 1996.

In these Regulations “the principal Regulations” means the National Health Service (Optical Charges and Payments) (Scotland) Regulations 19892.
Amendment of regulation 1 of the principal Regulations2
In regulation 1(2) of the principal Regulations (interpretation) in the definition of “NHS sight test fee”–
a
in sub-paragraph (a) for “£36.65” there is substituted “£37.83”; and
b
in sub-paragraph (b) for “£13.41” there is substituted “£13.71”.
