Coming into force

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 63 and 66 of the Road Traffic Act 19881 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and after consultation with representative organisations in accordance with section 195(2) of that Act, hereby makes the following Regulations:—

Citation and commencement1

These Regulations may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (Type Approval for Goods Vehicles) (Great Britain) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 1997 and shall come into force on 31st December 1997.

Amendment of the Motor Vehicles (Type Approval for Goods Vehicles) (Great Britain) Regulations 19822

The Motor Vehicles (Type Approval for Goods Vehicles) (Great Britain) Regulations 19822 shall be further amended as follows.

In regulation 13A(2) (obligatory certificates) for “1st January 1998” there shall be substituted “1st May 1998”.

These Regulations amend the Motor Vehicles (Type Approval for Goods Vehicles) (Great Britain) Regulations 1982 by postponing from 1st January 1998 to 1st May 1998 the date specified in regulation 18A(2) of those Regulations (obligatory certificates).
