This Order may be cited as the East Berkshire Community Health National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 1998 and shall come into force on 27th July 1998.
The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 126(3) of the National Health Service Act 1977 1977 c. 49; section 126(3) was amended by section 65(2) of the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990 (c. 19), by paragraph 57 of Schedule 1 to the Health Authorities Act 1995 (c. 17) (“the 1995 Act”) and by section 41(10) and paragraph 27 of Schedule 2 to the National Health Service (Primary Care) Act 1997 (c. 46). 1990 c. 19; section 5 was amended by paragraph 65 of Schedule 1 to the 1995 Act. This Order may be cited as the East Berkshire Community Health National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 1998 and shall come into force on 27th July 1998.
The trust is established for the purposes specified in section 5(1) of the Act. The trust’s functions (which include functions which the Secretary of State considers appropriate in relation to the provision of services by the trust for one or more Health Authorities) shall be– to own and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(a) of the Act:– King Edward VII Hospital, St. Leonard’s Road, Windsor SL4 3DP, Upton Hospital, Albert Street, Slough SL1 2BJ, St. Mark’s Hospital, St. Mark’s Road, Maidenhead SL6 6DU, 18 Sycamore Court, Springfield Road, Windsor SL4 3QQ, 6 Crossways Court, Osborne Road, Windsor SL4 3EL, and Sycamore Court, Springfield Road, Windsor SL4 3QQ, and there to provide and manage hospital accommodation and services; to own and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(a) of the Act:– Great Hollands Health Centre, Great Hollands Square, Bracknell RG12 8WY, Dedworth Clinic, Smiths Lane, Windsor SL4 5PE, Britwell Clinic, Wentworth Avenue, Slough SL2 2DH, Wexham Court Clinic, Knolton Way, Slough SL2 5SG, Skimped Hill Health Centre, Skimped Hill Lane, Market Square, Bracknell RG12 1LH, and Langley Health Centre, Common Road, Langley, Slough SL3 8LE, and there to provide and manage community health services; and to provide and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(b) of the Act Unit L27, London Road Site, Reading RG1 5AQ, and there to provide community health services.

This Order amends the Order (“the Establishment Order”) which established the East Berkshire Community Health National Health Service Trust.
The Establishment Order is amended to confer on the trust the purpose specified in section 5(1)(b) of the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990 to provide and manage Unit L27, London Road Site, Reading RG1 5AQ.
