This Order brings into force in relation to Wales sections 115(2) and (3) of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 on 20th July 2001. These provisions place a duty on local education authorities to provide school lunches for registered pupils at maintained schools when so requested by or on behalf of a registered pupil. Request for the provision of school lunches on or after 20th July 2001 may be made at any time after the making of this Order.
