2. 4th October 2001 is the day appointed for the coming into force of—
(a)section 112 of the Act (charges for local authority welfare services);
(b)section 117(2) of, and Schedule 6 to, the Act (transitional provisions, savings and repeals), in so far as they relate to section 18(1) and (3) of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act 1970(1).
