The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 30B(1) of the Justices of the Peace Act 1997(1), makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Greater London Magistrates' Courts Authority (Constitution) (Amendment) Regulations 2003 and shall come into force on 1st April 2003.

Amendment to the Greater London Magistrates' Courts Authority (Constitution) Regulations 1999(2)

2.  In regulation 15(3)(b) of the Greater London Magistrates' Courts Authority (Constitution) Regulations 1999 for “£750” substitute “£812.50”.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the Greater London Magistrates' Courts Authority (Constitution) Regulations 1999 to increase the payment rate made to those who are members of the Greater London Magistrates' Courts Authority.

The payment rate has increased by £62.50 from £750 to £812.50 per quarter and takes effect from 1st April 2003.
