Where in relation to proposed works which required an environmental impact assessment there is a requirement to carry out a habitats regulation assessment, the Secretary of State must where appropriate ensure that the habitats regulation assessment and the environmental impact assessment are co-ordinated.

In this rule, a “habitats regulation assessment” means an assessment under regulation 61 of the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2010.
