Coming into force

The Gangmasters Licensing Authority, following consultation with the Secretary of State in accordance with section 8(3) of the Gangmasters (Licensing) Act 20041, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 8 of that Act, makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement1

These Rules may be cited as the Gangmasters (Licensing Conditions) (No.2) (Amendment) Rules 2007 and come into force on 6th April 2007.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

These Rules amend the Gangmasters (Licensing Conditions) (No.2) Rules 2006 (SI 2006/2373) which establish the procedure for licensing gangmasters covered by the provisions of the Gangmasters (Licensing) Act 2004 and the conditions that will apply to the licences.

Rule 7 is amended to prescribe the licence fee for the financial year 2007-2008. The previous annual fees were Fee Band A £4,000, Fee Band B £2,000, Fee Band C £750 and Fee Band D £250.
