6.—(1) Sections 1, 2 and 5 of the Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages (Special Provisions) Act 1957 M1 (records of births, deaths and marriages among armed forces and service civilians, and registration of births of legitimated persons in the service department registers) shall continue to apply, in relation to an event within paragraph (2) occurring before commencement, without the amendments to those sections made by AFA 2006.
(2) The events are—
(a)birth;
(b)death;
(c)marriage;
(d)formation of civil partnership.
