PART 2 REQUIREMENTS TO BE COMPLIED WITH BY A SCHOOL WHILE APPROVED UNDER SECTION 342 OF THE 1996 ACT

Nutritional standards

27.  The nutritional standards and requirements applicable to maintained special schools prescribed in regulations under section 114A of the Schools Standards and Framework Act 1998(1) must be complied with.

Section 114A was inserted by section 86(1) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 and amended by S.I. 2010/1158. Regulations currently in force are the Education (Nutritional Standards and Requirements for School Food) (England) Regulations 2007 S.I. 2007/2359, amended by S.I. 2008/1800 and 2011/1190.
