2.—(1) The Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service(1) may pay such compensation as the Secretary of State may determine to a person who suffers loss of employment or loss or diminution of emoluments as a consequence of an order under section 2(1) of the 2014 Act.
(2) Paragraph (1) does not permit a payment to a person mentioned in section 51(2)(2) of the Scotland Act 1998 (non-ministerial office-holders in, and members of the staff of, the Scottish Administration).
(3) Sections 2(3) and 3(4) of the Sheriff Courts (Scotland) Act 1971(3) are repealed.
The Scottish Court Service was established by section 60(1) of the Judiciary and Courts (Scotland) Act 2008. It was renamed the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service by section 130 of the Courts Reform (Scotland) Act 2014.
