The End-of-Life Vehicles Regulations 200338 are amended as follows.

In regulation 2—
a
in the definition of “the Directive”, at the end insert “, as last amended by Commission Directive (EU) 2017/209639”;
b
in the definition of “the Waste Directive”, at the end insert “, as last amended by Council Regulation (EU) 2017/997”.

In regulation 5, for “Article 8(2)(a) of Directive 70/156/EEC40” substitute “Article 23 of Directive 2007/46/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a framework for the approval of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles41”.
