9.—(1) The End-of-Life Vehicles Regulations 2003(1) are amended as follows.
(2) In regulation 2—
(a)in the definition of “the Directive”, at the end insert “, as last amended by Commission Directive (EU) 2017/2096(2)”;
(b)in the definition of “the Waste Directive”, at the end insert “, as last amended by Council Regulation (EU) 2017/997”.
(3) In regulation 5, for “Article 8(2)(a) of Directive 70/156/EEC(3)” substitute “Article 23 of Directive 2007/46/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a framework for the approval of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles(4)”.
