The Criminal Justice (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019

Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1(1)

M1The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 8(1) of, and paragraph 21 of Schedule 7 to, the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 .

In accordance with paragraph 1(3) of Schedule 7 to that Act, a draft of this instrument has been laid before Parliament and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.

In accordance with section 88(2) of the Scotland Act 1998 M2 the Secretary of State has consulted with the Scottish Ministers on the proposal to make Part 2 of these Regulations.

The Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority and the Criminal Injuries Compensation Appeals Panel have been specified as cross-border public authorities for the purposes of section 88 of the Scotland Act 1998 by the Scotland Act 1998 (Cross-Border Public Authorities) (Specification) Order 1999 (S.I. 1999/1319).
